Wee Napping Raccoon

Tired and Full of Bird Seed - Napping Raccoon

Everything in the forest thinks my house is the ultimate pit stop. I currently have a bunch of grackles in the trees, and I’m quite shocked they haven’t driven the raccoon to a quieter place to nap. They are unbelievably noisy!

I placed a couple of houseplants on my patio so they could get some sun yesterday. When I retrieved them this morning to give them water, one of them had a pretty visitor attached. He was extremely determined to stay on the plant, so he had a brief field trip to the sink.

He’s very pretty and so very fuzzy! If you look at him closely, he looks like a little fluffy yellow chicken:

Imperial Moth - SO FUZZY!

Since he wasn’t interested in budging from his perch on my plant, I returned the plant to the patio. Hopefully, he will fly away this evening. I think they are nocturnal creatures.
