I live in dresses and skirts in the Summer months.  I never wear shorts now that I’m of a certain age, but I still like ventilation on my legs during the hot, humid days in NC.  I slather on the SPF 35+ and blind the world with my pale skin.  I’m particularly in love with this dress from Shabby Apple’s new Set Sail collection:

Does it come with the sailing yacht?  I could also use one of those to go with my dream beach shack.  How funny would it look with one of these anchored near it?

And while I’m dreaming, I would also like a hot cabin boy to go with my super-cute dress and sailing yacht.  I’m now taking applications.  Looking like Hugh Jackman is a plus!

Hey, Hugh, if you want to apply, feel free.  I’m an awesome cook, and the Mister isn’t the jealous type.  Plus, I bribed him by telling him he could have his own Cabin Girl and/or Personal Massage Therapist.  So, it’s a win-win! Do you happen to know any massage therapists who look like Christina Hendricks? That’s his dream Cabin Girl.

I really can’t argue with that.  She’s gorgeous, and the Mister has a thing for busty redheads.  It works out. We probably wouldn’t be married if he were attracted to gazelle-like blondes! By the way, I love the dress she’s wearing in that photo.  Like most of us redheads, green is definitely her color.  I want that dress, too.

Hey, here’s a novel idea. If our life together were to be made into a movie, Hugh Jackman would play the Mister and Christina Hendricks would play me. ;-) Maybe I should start writing that script because it would be HOT!

How’s that for a blog post that’s all over the map? Dresses to sailing yachts to Hugh Jackman to Christina Hendricks – that’s some weird new mashup for the Google Search bots!

I’m slowly slogging my way through photos of the British Royal Wedding just to look at the fashion.  While I absolutely adored Kate’s wedding gown, I don’t agree with people who think her sister, Pippa, upstaged her with her Maid of Honor dress.

I don’t find the dress that remarkable.  It certainly fits Pippa like it was custom-made for her (and it probably was), but it doesn’t hold a candle to Kate’s wedding dress.  In fact, I thought it blended with the wedding dress when she was holding Kate’s train.  I don’t know if that was intentional or not, but if it was, the dress was a brilliant choice.  Of course, Pippa is a pretty woman, too, and I can see why people notice her even when she’s wearing a rather plain, white dress. ;-) She’s kinda hard to miss.  It probably wouldn’t matter what she was wearing.

No, if anyone was an upstart at the wedding, it had to be Princess Beatrice with her hat!  How adorable was she?!

I think that hat is playful and appropriate for a young lady like Beatrice.  The hat also seems to be as divisive as Kate’s dress; you either love it or you hate it.  I loved it.  If you’re required to wear a hat to a media circus like the royal wedding, you might as well have fun with it!
